Two full time teachers ( Bob Shook and Bill Gleason ) instruct students in the core classes with additional teachers covering related classes ( Murray Catlin ) and general education requirements. The Welding Program facilities are in a single shop located on the west campus of the College of Technology in Missoula, Mt . Approximately 12,000 square feet of interior floor space is available for the program with additional exterior space used as needed.
The program makes use of open floor space, fixed bays and portable screening for instructional purposes. Teaching is done in the classroom with laboratory portions taught in groups as well as individually.
Projects and assignments are also done both individually and in groups.
