Graduation Requirements
In order for a student to graduate from the program, all course requirements must be completed including SCN201N and SCN202N.
- Students are required to be members of the American Association for Respiratory Care in both the first and second years of the program. Applications will be provided by the Program Director.
- Students must attend the Montana Society for Respiratory Care Conference in the spring of the first year of the program. (Location varies each year.)
- Students must attend neonatal workshop in the final semester (Program varies each year).
- Students must attend a professional conference in their final semester (Location and activity varies each year.)
- Students must complete BLS, prior to entry into the clinical phase of the program.
- Students must complete NRP, PALS and ACLS certification prior to graduation.
- Students must attend the Kettering National Exam Seminar in their final semester.
- Students must complete and meet or exceed the CUT score assigned by Program Faculty:
- Entry Level Self-Assessment Exam,
- Written Registry Self-Assessment Exam, and;
- Clinical Simulation Self-Assessment Exam prior to graduation.
- Students must complete all required hours, and clinical rotations prior to graduation. (Refer to individual course syllabi.)
- he Program Goals and Standards clearly delineate that graduates of the Respiratory Care Program shall demonstrate clinical competency in all aspects of patient care. Clinical tasks shall be evaluated and satisfactory proficiency must be demonstrated for all tasks within the clinical practices. A student must achieve a satisfactory level of competency for all required clinical task prior to graduation.
