Building Maintenance
Certificate of Applied Science
Students in the Building Maintenance Engineering program are trained as building maintenance personnel who take care of commercial buildings. Classes include plumbing, electricity, carpentry, and heating / air conditioning. While in school, students learn physical and electrical theories, allowing them to understand building systems. In addition, they study building cleaning, landscape maintenance, pool care, computers, and boiler operation. Water treatment is discussed in both the pool and boiler courses.
Students are awarded a Certificate of Completion upon successfully finishing the program.
*Note: Students in the Building Maintenance Certificate of Applied Science program may substitute WRIT 095 Developmental Writing for WRIT 121 Technical Writing.
