The Business Technology Department at the College of Technology is seeking qualified individuals to join our adjunct pool. Positions are available Fall 2007. Applications will be accepted immediately until filled. Fall 2007 courses begin August 27, 2007.
Courses available Fall 2007
CRT 100 Computer Literacy 2 Credits Introduction to computer terminology, hardware, and software, including wire/wireless communications and multimedia devices. Students utilize word processing, create projects common to business and industry in a networked computing environment. Internet research, email usage, and keyboarding proficiency are integrated. MED 210 Basic ICD Coding Introductory foundation for utilizing the International Classification of Diseases coding for classification of morbidity and mortality information for statistical purposes and for indexing medical records by disease and operation. CUL 151T Intro to Food Service Industry Introduction to fundamentals in food handling practice, history, cooking methods, tool and equipment skills, safety and sanitation, recipe and menu development. FSM 270 Purchasing and Cost Controls Principles of purchasing foods and materials based on needs, specifications, availability, and seasonality. Costs of doing business including products, labor, facilities, and preparing financial statements
The Business Technology Department is also seeking applicants to join our adjunct pool to teach courses as available. We teach courses in Accounting Technology, Administrative Management, Business Management, Medical Information Technology, Paralegal Studies and Culinary Arts. Application Requirements: Advanced degree in an appropriate discipline, teaching experience, other relevant work experience, a statement of teaching philosophy, current vita, and three references. Applicants must be dynamic, student centered and can demonstrate strong communication skills. Previous teaching experience preferred. Official college transcripts and background checks will be needed on employment.
